Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep or conscious deep sleep, is a powerful technique which enables us to learn to relax consciously and deeply – a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. It is a meditative state in which you are neither awake nor asleep and your body is at rest. You simply lie down and enjoy being guided into a deep state of relaxation – for this reason, Yoga Nidra can be a great alternative to setting about a formal meditation practice. This gentle form of healing is perfect for reducing stress, panic attacks, grief, anxiety, depression, insomnia, high blood pressure and trauma.
